It's big and nice. Fortunately, by we had a proper name for this truly unique palm!
I have some planted from large pots in probably that haven't any trunk yet. I had no reason to question the name.

It must just really like the spot. There is no petiole, and each frond holds leaflets on each side of the rachis. With its thick trunk, very erect and long fronds this is indeed an impressive palm.
